Bladderwrack

Ailment
Belly Fat / Metabolism
5.0/5

Raw-note based Bladderwrack experience for metabolism, belly fat loss, and visible anti-aging effects. Bladderwrack stood out as a 5-star seaweed trial that seemed to speed metabolism, increase body warmth, reduce belly fat without obvious muscle loss, and improve the line from the under-eye to the cheek as well as aging hands. Around 600 mg worked, but 1200 mg seemed better. It also appeared to make vitamin B12, B-complex, and vitamin E work better, and may have helped workout recovery.

Fennel

Ailment
Skin Aging / Facial Fullness
5.0/5

Raw-note based Fennel experience for skin fullness and a more youthful look. Fennel stood out as a breakthrough in the notes because it seemed to make skin look plumper and younger while also improving eyesight. It was especially notable because, unlike several vegetables that caused teeth seizing, Fennel did not do that. The notes also suggest it did not interfere with Minoxidil, Vitamin D, or NMN, and it did not make the under-eye area become padded in an undesirable way. There was a sense that it may have worked even better alongside a B-complex or similar support. The main negative note was that a cyst in the back started to hurt. Separate Fennel seed notes also suggest about 1 teaspoon chewed helped with dreaming and sleep.

Oral Minoxidil

Ailment
Hair Loss / Hair Growth
4.0/5

Raw-note based Oral Minoxidil experience for hair growth. Oral Minoxidil clearly improved hair growth, but the side effects were strongly dose-dependent. About 2.5 mg daily seemed too much because it brought strong heart side effects, puffy eyelids, wrinkled forearms, and extra fat below the ears, under the arms, and under the chin. Around 1.67 mg daily felt like the best balance because hair growth stayed good and the heart effects were more manageable. Around 1.25 mg reduced some of the wrinkle and fat-related side effects, but hair growth was only a little better than external Minoxidil alone. Raw notes also suggest vegetable smoothies reduced effectiveness, while Vitamin B12 helped lessen side effects and partly replace the need for internal Minoxidil.

Treatment

Biotin

Ailment
Hair Loss / Hair Growth
4.3/5

Raw-note based Biotin experience for hair growth. Internal Biotin consistently seemed to improve hair growth, especially when combined with Vitamin B12 and topical castor oil. One repeated pattern was that castor oil did not seem to work very well topically unless Biotin was also being taken internally. Dose response seemed important: around 40,000 IU gave strong hair growth and more body fullness but also more side effects; around 30,000 IU felt like a better balance with good hair growth and fewer problems; around 20,000 IU gave milder hair growth. Topical Biotin made hair softer but seemed to stop the growth benefit usually seen from topical castor oil. Another strong pattern was that Vitamin B12 seemed necessary for some of the fuller-looking effects and also seemed to improve blurry eyesight that appeared when high-dose Biotin was taken without B12. Vitamin B1 seemed to interfere with these benefits. Overall impression: Biotin is one of my core hair-growth treatments, but it works best with the right stack and dose.
